ASUS built a laptop specifically for GoPro creators — and it's available in UAE now

ASUS teams up with GoPro for a Dhs 13,999 creator laptop featuring dedicated hotkeys, AI-powered footage organisation, and 128GB unified RAM. The 13.3-inch convertible handles 360° workflows and includes GoPro Cloud integration for seamless editing.

ASUS built a laptop specifically for GoPro creators — and it's available in UAE now

Asus today announced that the ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 has launched in UAE for Dhs 13,999 — a convertible laptop co-developed with GoPro that streamlines capture-to-edit workflows for mobile content creators.

What makes the ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition different?

The ProArt GoPro Edition centres on a dedicated GoPro Hotkey that instantly launches GoPro Player and syncs footage. The StoryCube app integrates with GoPro Cloud, using AI to automatically organise files — eliminating the manual sorting that slows down post-production workflows.

This isn't just software integration. The laptop includes native 360° video workflow support and AI-powered media organisation that recognises action footage patterns. In practice, this means creators can dump footage from multiple GoPro sessions and have the system sort clips by activity, location, or quality metrics.

The thing is, most creator laptops treat action cameras as afterthoughts. ASUS worked directly with GoPro to solve the specific pain points of mobile video production — particularly the time lost transferring and organising hours of footage shot across different locations.

AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395: Built for AI-assisted workflows

The ProArt GoPro Edition runs on AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with up to 50 TOPS of neural processing power. This NPU handles AI workloads like automated colour grading, object detection in footage, and real-time video enhancement without hitting the main CPU.

What this means in practice: creators can run AI-powered tools like automatic scene detection, smart cropping for social media formats, and intelligent noise reduction while the main processor handles timeline scrubbing and effects rendering. The up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory ensures smooth multitasking across Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and multiple browser tabs.

For context, most creator laptops in this price range max out at 32GB RAM. ASUS went with unified memory architecture — the same approach Apple uses in MacBook Pro — to eliminate bottlenecks when working with high-resolution GoPro footage.

Display and design: Built for UAE conditions

The 13.3-inch 3K OLED touchscreen delivers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut with Pantone validation — essential for colour-critical work. The display hits 400 nits typical brightness with 500 nits HDR peak, making it usable outdoors in UAE's bright conditions.

ASUS tested the laptop to MIL-STD-810H standards, addressing dust and heat concerns for creators working across UAE's diverse environments. The exclusive Black Metal finish resists fingerprints better than traditional laptop coatings — a practical consideration for touchscreen use in dusty conditions.

The 360° hinge converts between laptop, tent, and tablet modes. Weight stays at 1.39kg, making it genuinely portable for shoot days that involve multiple location changes across Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

Connectivity and workflow integration

The port selection prioritises creator workflows: two USB 4.0 Type-C ports with 40Gbps data transfer and power delivery, one USB 3.2 Type-A for legacy accessories, HDMI 2.1 for external monitors, and a microSD card reader for quick GoPro imports.

WiFi 7 support means faster uploads to GoPro Cloud or social platforms, while Bluetooth 5.4 handles wireless audio monitoring during editing sessions. The integrated ASUS DialPad works with Adobe Creative Tools, giving tactile control over timeline scrubbing and parameter adjustments.

What they don't mention: the laptop lacks an Ethernet port, so creators relying on wired internet for large uploads will need a USB-C adapter. The 73Wh battery provides solid all-day performance for editing, though intensive rendering will require power access.

ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition price in UAE

The ASUS ProArt GoPro Edition PX13 starts at Dhs 13,999 in UAE, available now through the ASUS eShop and leading retail stores across the emirates. This pricing includes the laptop, exclusive GoPro-inspired protective sleeve, premium collector packaging, and a 12-month GoPro Premium+ subscription valued at approximately Dhs 360.

UAE customers also receive ASUS Perfect Warranty, providing accidental damage coverage — particularly relevant for creators working in challenging outdoor environments. The warranty covers drops, spills, and impact damage that might occur during active shooting scenarios.

For comparison, similar creator-focused convertibles like the ASUS Zenbook DUO start at Dhs 9,599 but lack the specialised GoPro integration and unified memory configuration found in the ProArt GoPro Edition.
