Acer drops new Iconia tablets, 280Hz OLED monitor and Wi-Fi 7 mesh at IFA 2025
TL;DR
  • Iconia X12 and X14 add AMOLED/OLED with optional accessories and AI tools.
  • Monitors include a portable 15.6-inch, a 27-inch 144 Hz IPS, and a 26.5-inch 280 Hz OLED.

Acer used IFA 2025 to roll out new Android tablets, two minimalist Amadana monitors, a 26.5-inch OLED gaming display, and a compact Wi-Fi 7 mesh router. The Iconia X line brings AMOLED and OLED screens, plus an optional keyboard and stylus.

Iconia A targets big-screen media and study. The OLED monitor chases high-refresh gaming. The router supports dual-band Wi-Fi 7 with mesh capabilities. Launch windows are EMEA-focused, with UAE pricing guidance below.

Iconia X series: AMOLED/OLED screens and on-device AI

The X12 goes slim with a 12.6-inch WQXGA AMOLED display and a MediaTek Helio G99. The X14 scales up to a 14-inch OLED with an NPU for on-device AI tools. Both run Android 15 and support expandable storage.

  • X12 highlights
    • 12.6-inch 2560×1600 AMOLED, 60 Hz
    • MediaTek Helio G99, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, microSD up to 1 TB
    • Up to 16 hours battery, 500 g
    • Quad speakers, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB-C PD 2.0
    • Optional stylus, detachable keyboard, magnetic kickstand
  • X14 highlights
    • 14-inch 1200×1920 OLED, 60 Hz, ZeroFrame design
    • NPU-equipped processor, up to 8 GB LPDDR5, 256 GB UFS 3.1 + microSD
    • AI Super Resolution, AI Smart Sensing, Smile Camera
    • Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, built-in kickstand, up to 10 hours battery

The X12 is the portable pick for reading, note-taking, and streaming. The optional keyboard and stylus make it a light productivity companion. The X14 suits users who want a larger OLED canvas with simple AI tools for gesture control and auto captures during study or family use

Iconia A series: big screens with built-in kickstands

The A16 and A14 target simple home use with IPS panels, Android 15, and integrated kickstands. On-device AI mirrors the X14’s tools. Both add Wi-Fi 6 for improved home network stability.

  • A16 highlights
    • 16-inch 1200×1920 IPS, ZeroFrame
    • Up to 8 GB LPDDR5, 256 GB UFS 3.1 + microSD
    • Built-in tripod-style kickstand
    • 8 MP rear camera with flash, 5 MP front, quad speakers
    • Up to 10 hours battery, 980 g, Vapor Silver
  • A14 highlights
    • 14-inch 1200×1920 IPS, ZeroFrame
    • Same RAM/storage options and AI features
    • Built-in kickstand, 910 g, Vapor Silver

For homes and dorms, the A series is about size and ease. The kickstand removes the case. The IPS panels maintain wide viewing angles, and Wi-Fi 6 should provide better performance on congested UAE networks.

Monitors: Amadana minimalism and a 280 Hz OLED option

Acer showcased two Amadana displays with clean designs, along with an OLED gaming-grade panel. The portable 15.6-inch Amadana is handy for dual-screen work on the go. The 27-inch Amadana model suits desks that want FHD at high refresh. The CE270U Z aims at enthusiasts.

  • amadana 16APM1QJ (portable)
    • 15.6-inch IPS, 1080p 60 Hz via HDMI/USB-C
    • 0.65 kg, built-in stand tilts up to 90°, mini-HDMI, 2×USB-C, speakers
  • amadana 27ART0 P1 (desk)
    • 27-inch IPS, up to 144 Hz over HDMI, sRGB 99%
    • ZeroFrame, speakers, HDMI and VGA inputs, tilt −5° to 25°
  • Acer CE270U Z (OLED)
    • 26.5-inch 2560×1440 OLED, 280 Hz, 0.03 ms
    • HDR peak 1000 nits (APL 3%), DCI-P3 99%
    • FreeSync Premium Pro, 2×HDMI 2.1, 2×DP 1.4, speakers, full ergonomics

If you want colour-rich gaming and motion clarity, the CE270U Z’s 280 Hz is the star. For hybrid workers, the amadana pair keeps things tidy and straightforward without heavy software layers.

Acer Connect T36: compact Wi-Fi 7 mesh

The Connect T36 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh unit with a quad-core ARM processor. It targets small flats and townhouses that want an easy app setup and extra nodes later.

    • Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 up to 3,600 Mbps
    • Automatic node switching while you move
    • Three RJ45 (1×WAN, 2×LAN), 12 V DC power
    • Acer Connect app for setup and control
    • White finish, 400 g, cylinder design

For UAE users, Wi-Fi 7 helps with multi-device households and big 4K streams. Mesh lets you extend coverage later instead of buying a whole new system.
