The story begins after Norman Osborn’s downfall in Season 1 and follows a new mystery at Oscorp. Peter is becoming more distant from his friends, while Harry Osborn suspects that his father’s departure has not ended the company’s problems.
Christos Gage returns as writer, with Eric Gapstur on art. The pair also worked on the earlier 2024 Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man prequel comic. Gage told IGN that showrunner Jeff Trammell coordinated the new story with the series’ continuity, and teased the arrival of classic Spider-Man villains in this version of the world.
The new comic is being positioned as a direct link between seasons, a format Marvel has also used around other animated projects, including X-Men ’97.
