The premise’s best card is the gear change from a childhood-friends reunion to an international plot. That gives John Cena, Jessica Biel and Sam Richardson a group problem to play, rather than another lone-hero sprint; at 127 minutes, the film has room to make the reunion feel like more than plot furniture.

What Is It About?
When former childhood friends reconnect, their reunion turns dangerous as they stumble into an international plot and have to save the world. It is a clean action-comedy setup: old ties meet a problem that is emphatically not small talk.
Seasons and Episodes
Matchbox is a standalone feature, not a series. It runs for 127 minutes, so set aside just over two hours; there are no seasons or episode counts.
Who Is in the Cast?
John Cena leads as Sean, with Jessica Biel as Aimee and Sam Richardson as Crosby forming the central trio. Arturo Castro’s Ted, Teyonah Parris’s Charmaine and Danai Gurira’s Helen complete this six-person slice of the billed ensemble, giving the former-friends premise an actual group dynamic.
