A Friday the 13th prequel that starts with Pamela Voorhees rather than treating her as a footnote has a better reason to exist than another Jason lap. Linda Cardellini is the draw; OSN+ has the UAE listing dated 16 October, so the wait is short and the knife drawer can stay shut until then.

Crystal Lake Trailer
The trailer goes back to the camp and the family tragedy at the centre of this prequel.
What Is It About?
TMDB’s premise follows Pam Voorhees, still grieving after her young son Jason drowned almost a year earlier. When two strangers arrive asking about Pam’s past, the town is left wondering who she really is. Keeping the focus on Jason’s mother gives the Friday the 13th prequel a more unsettling question than simply asking when the mask appears.
Seasons and Episodes
TMDB lists one season of eight episodes, dated 2026. That is a compact first run for a story built around the events before Jason became the franchise’s slasher figure.
Who Is in the Cast?
Linda Cardellini leads as Pamela Voorhees, with William Catlett as Levon Brooks, Devin Kessler as Briana Brooks, Cameron Scoggins as Dorf and Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace. Cardellini gets the story’s central burden; the other four are billed across the same eight-episode season.
