Sengalam is a political thriller set in Southern Tamil Nadu. It features Kalaiyarasan and Vani Bhojan in the main leads. Directed by SR Prabhakaran, the series is his debut on the web. Poovan (Malayalam)
Jalikkattu and Angamaly Diaries actor Antony Varghese’s Malayalam movie is Poovan, and it marks the directorial debut of Super Sharanya actor Vineeth Vasudevan. The comedy-drama is scripted by actor Varun Dhara and also stars Vineeth Vishwan, Gireesh AD, Anishma Anilkumar, Maniyanpilla Raju, Annies Abraham, Akhila Bhargavan and Vineeth Vasudevan in pivotal roles. The movie, which was released in theatres earlier, also has a rooster in a pivotal role.

Writer Padmabhushan (Telugu)
Writer Padmabhushan has Suhas and Tina Shilparaj in the lead roles and is billed as a comedy-drama. It had a decent run at the box office. The film also has Rohini and Ashish Vidhyarthi in key supporting roles. Directed by Shanmukha Prasanth, it is a story about a writer whose first work fails to create any buzz.

Taj: Divided by Blood (Hindi)
This historical tale is that of emperor Akbar, who sparks a war among his sons in an attempt to find a worthy successor to himself. The series re-creates the period of the Mughal invasion of India and the conflicts triggered by them, and the politics within their empire.
The series features Dharmendra, Naseeruddin Shah, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rahul Bose, Zarina Wahab, Sandhya Mridul and Aashim Gulati in significant roles.

The Great Indian Kitchen (Tamil)
The Tamil film The Great Indian Kitchen is a faithful remake of the Malayalam hit of the same name. Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Raveendran play lead roles in the Tamil version. In Malayalam, Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu were special in the same role.
Directed by remake specialist Kannan, the film is about the struggles of a woman being confined to the kitchen in a patriarchal household. How she breaks the shackles is the story all about.

Lost (Hindi)
Yami Gautam’s recent movies like A Thursday and Dasavi were all direct-on-OTT releases. Her latest, Lost is no different. This thriller, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, revolves around a crime reporter who is exposed to a whole new world of politics, love and betrayal.
Yami plays the role of Riddhi Sahani, the crime reporter in question, who sleuths around to know the reason behind the sudden disappearance of a young theatre activist (Ishan Bharti) played by Tushar Pandey. Apart from Yami and Tushar, the film also stars Pankaj Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam, Rahul Khanna and Pia Bajpiee.

Veekam (Malayalam)
His elder brother Vineeth Sreenivasan has wowed the OTT audience with his recent release Mukundan Unni Associates. Now younger brother Dhyan Sreenivasan steps up with his action thriller Veekam, which already has done its theatrical rounds. Written and directed by debutant Sagar, Veekam also has Dayyana Hameed, Sheelu Abraham, Siddique Aju Varghese and Dinesh Prabhakar in pivotal roles.

Chhatriwali (Hindi)
Recently we had the Hindi film Janhit Mein Jaari in which Nushrratt Bharuccha played a woman who has to sell condoms in a small town in MP. Rakul Preet Singh is in the same territory in Chhatriwali. In this slice-of-life drama, which is set in Haryana, she spreads the message of male contraceptives and safe sex.
Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, Rakul plays a quality control head in a condom factory. The story is a social comedy to destigmatize taboos surrounding the use of condoms and sex education. The film also stars Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajesh Tailang, Prachee Shah Paandya, Rakesh Bedi and Riva Arora, among others. This is also a straight-on-OTT release.

Uunchai, the production house’s 60th film, focuses on the story of three best friends who decide to trek to the Everest Base Camp to fulfil the last wish of their fourth friend. It stars Parineeti Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sarika, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
