1. Dre Suddenly Ghosted Lynzy

Dre seemed to like Lynzy during their date and even kissed her in the bathroom after. So it came as a shock when he suddenly started avoiding her. His reasons would later be revealed…

2. Isaac and Hannah Were Unexpectedly Eliminated

Lana banished Isaac and Hannah from the retreat by interrupting the cast’s party. The couple were told they had disrespected the rules, ‘failed to grow’, and pursued their desires at the expense of other castmates. Both Isaac and Hannah were visibly upset.

3. All the Men Related to Dre’s Ego Issues

In a men’s workshop, Dre revealed why he ghosted Lynzy: he’d only seduced her to get a confidence boost, something he often does with women due to his ego issues. Surprisingly and quite dishearteningly, all the men could relate to Dre’s confession.

4. Louis Revealed His Childhood Trauma

Self-proclaimed ‘menace’ Louis seemed unlikely to open up on the retreat. But he did! In the men’s workshop, he revealed that he avoids relying on others for emotional support as he nearly lost his mother when he was young. Louis told Christine this after the workshop, too.

After Louis’ over-friendly date with Lynzy, it seemed unlikely that Christine would forgive him. She was extremely upset and didn’t want to repeat old patterns she’d experienced with men. It came as a surprise when she gave Louis a second chance!

6. Elys Asked Alex to Be Her Boyfriend

Elys and Alex were going strong until Alex had a wobble and remembered that he preferred freedom and travelling over commitment. Alex told Elys this during a date, but it didn’t faze her: she said they could travel together and asked Alex if he’d be her boyfriend. He said yes!

7. Lana Gave a Cruel ‘Love or Money’ Ultimatum

Although Alex agreed to be Elys’ boyfriend, Lana sensed his hesitation. The same applied to Louis, who still seemed a little hesitant with Christine.

So, Lana gave the two men a shocking ultimatum: they could commit to their respective women and stay in the villa, forfeiting their chance to win the prize money—or they could leave the villa immediately as single men, with $25,000 winnings each. What a cruel test!

To the delight of the castmates, both men chose to stay.

8. Alex Told Elys He Loves Her

Dropping the L-bomb is a big deal for the commitment-phobes of Too Hot to Handle, and so it was a surprise when Alex confessed that he loves Elys. Elys was rightly stunned, but she quickly returned the gesture, and the pair shared a kiss (not 12 minutes long this time!).

9. Elys Offered Half the Prize Money to Dre

Elys was her authentic self the whole season and showed emotional growth. Although it was a close call with Dre, she was ultimately voted the winner.
