Here’s everyone on Love Is Blind Season 5
Aaliyah (aged 29)
Aaliyah is a travel nurse looking for love. She’s been single for over a year and is tired of meeting men who shun commitment, loyalty, and consistency.
Aaliyah says her dream man would be a foodie, intelligent, and ready to help her create the ‘pure and gentle’ relationship she dreams of. Let’s see what Love Is Blind has in store for her!
Estefania (aged 30)
Estefania teaches at a high school as well as giving dance classes on the side. She’s hoping for a man who has the same hardworking drive as her.
That said, Estefania says she’s entering Love Is Blind with an open mind and isn’t looking for a specific type. There are two non-negotiables for her, though—he can’t be ‘controlling or dirty!’.
Shondra (aged 32)
Shondra is a flight attendant who’s fed up of men who ‘cannot admit when they are wrong’. She admits she can be critical of men when they don’t live up to her high standards.
But Shondra hopes that Love Is Blind will improve things. She’s ready to connect with someone for their personality rather than their looks, and is keen for a guy who ‘gives [her] that spark’.
Maris (aged 30)
A HR specialist, Maris is very close to her friends and family and hopes for a partner who will join her at crawfish boils and Lao New Year celebrations.
Strong-willed yet considerate, Maris says one of her best traits is that she always remembers to ‘bring food home, even if you didn’t ask’!
Maris’ one-and-only relationship lasted 6 years and ended abruptly—fingers crossed she has better luck on Love Is Blind.
Paige (aged 32)
Paige is a stylist with a big heart. She wants a man who ‘loves the way [she] loves’, with real commitment and respect. Her biggest turnoff is guys who are ‘mean to waiters or staff’!
It hasn’t all been rosy in the dating world for Paige, though. She’s been taken advantage of and was ‘too nice to the wrong people’. Hopefully, Love Is Blind will be the start of a new chapter.
Renee (aged 32)
Renee, a veterinarian, is a real homebody with several pets, looking for a ‘very manly’ ‘live-in hubby’ who preferably has a beard!
It’s about time Renee got back into dating; she says she’s been extremely career-oriented since her last relationship ended five years ago.
Lydia (aged 32)
A geologist, Lydia’s open to the concept of Love Is Blind: she wants love based less on looks and more on communication, emotional maturity, and commitment to overcoming problems.
That being said, her ideal man would ideally be tall, dark, and handsome as well! Lydia is also looking for a big personality.
Erica (aged 27)
Erica is a marketing manager who’s become alienated with dating apps after three years of disappointments. She hopes to find a marriage as strong as her parents’ on Love Is Blind.
In terms of men, Erica likes them to be ‘funny’, ‘outgoing’, ready to settle, and not so cocky that they talk about themselves all the time.
Miriam (aged 32)
Scientist Miriam is looking for a ‘sincere, driven, and successful’ man who will put ‘genuine effort’ into their relationship.
Miriam says she likes to have an emotional connection first, but admits that she does have a type: if they’re older and taller, her head will turn!
Stacy (aged 34)
A director of operations, Stacy wants a man who is sociable, ambitious, and family-oriented. He has to be ready for her ‘super-competitive’ family gatherings over the holidays!
A gym buff would also be high on Stacy’s list; she’s an ex-college athlete and teaches pilates in her free time. Her biggest turn off: ‘one-uppers’ who lack ‘awareness of other people’.
Johnie (aged 32)
Johnie is a lawyer whose career success sadly hasn’t translated to dating. She says that she always picks ‘the wrong kind of man’.
So far, Johnie has gravitated towards ‘slightly younger, pretty boys’, but she’s open to changing that and experiencing someone different on Love Is Blind.
Linda (aged 32)
Linda is a talent acquisition recruiter who excels at expressing herself but can ‘shut down at times if not feeling heard’.
In her lifelong partner, Linda wants someone ‘respectful, loving, and family-oriented’ who’ll join her large Nigerian family with open arms!
Mayra (aged 25)
Mayra works as a minister and wants a man as devoted to God as she is. Ideally, he’ll also look like Ryan Reynolds!
Where Mayra has gone wrong in love: forgiving too many wrongdoings while her partners haven’t made as many sacrifices. Now it’s time for her to turn things around!
Taylor (aged 26)
Taylor is a teacher who is ‘tired of dating based off of looks’. She’s been quite unlucky in love so far and was cheated on several times.
It’s no surprise, then, that honesty is Taylor’s biggest criteria—and ideally her man will be a little taller than her, too.
Robert (aged 30)
A special education teacher, Robert has been single for two years and is ready to find the one. He’s after an ‘honest, loyal, and loving’ woman who sees the positives in a relationship and doesn’t ‘nitpick’.
Extra points will go to a woman who has a good smile and is up for games nights with Robert’s family. Will he find his match on this season of Love Is Blind?
Izzy (aged 31)
Izzy works in sales and is looking for an ‘open-minded, good communicator’ who is on the same emotional wavelength as him. Sadly, he didn’t find this doing 2-3 dates a week for the past year!
Ideally, Izzy also wants an athletic woman who’ll join him at the gym and play sand volleyball with him on the beach. Bonus points if she has blonde hair and beautiful eyes!
Chris (aged 28)
Project manager Chris is fed up with meeting women with commitment issues. On Love Is Blind, he’s looking for honesty, a good sense of humour, selflessness, and fun. Will she be up for riding on the back of his motorbike?
In the past, Chris has had trouble showing his emotions and communicating openly with his partners. Hopefully, he’ll overcome his blockages and be more open on Love Is Blind!
Efrain (aged 27)
Efrain works in software sales and prefers deep connections to ‘picking girls up in bars’ and ‘talking to multiple people’ at the same time. Although he has a bad habit of thinking he’s always right, he’s ready to be ‘understanding and patient’ for the right lady.
What Efrain’s looking for: someone outgoing, funny, and active like him, whom he can go out on lots of walks with and bring to dinners with his family.
Ernesto (aged 32)
A supply chain manager by day, Ernesto has been single and dating casually for years. But he’s now ready for marriage and, in true Love Is Blind style, he wants to ‘learn a person’s mind first’ before falling for their looks.
Although Ernesto says he can ‘mesh with all backgrounds’, he ideally wants a woman who isn’t ‘clingy’, ‘can hold a good conversation’, and who values his ‘chill, lighthearted personality’.
Connor (aged 31)
Connor, a geoscientist, has been extremely career-focused in recent years and is now ready to settle with the woman of his dreams. And he means it—he only wants to marry once in his life, so she’d better be the one!
In terms of women, Connor likes people who are smart, independent, musical (he loves to sing), and who are outdoor lovers just like him.
Enoch (aged 27)
Financial advisor Enoch has been single for five years; he travelled the country with his previous job and so only made shorter-term connections. Now settled back in Houston, he’s ready to commit long-term.
Enoch is hoping to find someone who matches his energy, is ‘loyal, passionate, and confident’, and appreciates his cooking skills—including his Taco Tuesday dinners!
Jarred (aged 34)
Jarred, a university director, wants to ‘truly connect with someone and live life with mutual respect and compromise’. He brings dad jokes and quirkiness to the table, and puts a lot of effort into his relationships.
Jared really wants someone who’ll put the same effort in as him—and who doesn’t mind his ‘lack of detail in cleaning’!
Jared (aged 32)
Firefighter Jared finds the dating scene in his city, Houston, too superficial. He rarely meets women who want long-term commitment.
Jared says he has a big heart but hasn’t had the chance to show it much yet; he struggled to find genuine connections and emotional closeness in previous relationships. With the right woman, he says he’ll be able to let down his walls.
Josh (aged 32)
Josh is a sales representative who has had his heart broken and been ‘unlucky’ in love so far. Single now for a year and a half, he’s ready to find a wife and found a family with the help of Love Is Blind.
Given the heartbreak he had in the past, the key things Josh is looking for in a relationship are openness and trust.
Carter (aged 30)
Carter works in construction, enjoys river fishing with friends, hates ‘bad cell phone etiquette’ and has an ‘old fashioned and open-minded’ attitude in relationships.
Although he admits he ‘had some growing up to do’ in the past, Carter confirms he’s now ready for marriage and lifelong commitment. Will he find a lady who fits the bill?
Justice (aged 28)
Personal trainer Justice has been busy with work the past few years, but says he’s now ready to ‘place love above everything else in my life’.
That being said, Justice doesn’t want a woman who expects him to ‘drop important things for dating all the time’. He wants someone ambitious who, like him, has big dreams of her own.
What Justice can bring to the table: good listening skills and being ‘supportive and romantic’.
Milton (aged 25)
A petroleum engineer, Milton often gravitates towards women who are older and share his ambition. He’s been very focused on his career and education.
Milton hopes that Love Is Blind can help him overcome some issues he’s had in relationships relating to self-sabotage and not letting people in.
Uche (aged 34)
A lawyer/entrepreneur, Uche has been single for two years and is looking to go down on one knee for an ambitious woman who has a great sense of humour and shares his motto of ‘us against the world’.
Uche says he can often be too analytical when it comes to dating and relationships, but he knows he’ll have to follow his heart on Love Is Blind.
