After the tremendous success of ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan is back on the big screen with ‘Jawan’, another action-packed military thriller set to release in the UAE and the Middle East on September 7, 2023. The new trailer for the movie has finally dropped, giving eager fans an extended look at the story, characters and the kind of action sequences they can expect.
Shah Rukh Khan seems to play an unnamed former soldier in the movie who operates a team of six women as they pull off different heists around the country. On his tail is actress Nayanthara’s police officer, who also seems to have had a personal relationship with our Jawan. Vijay Sethupati also gets an equal amount of trailer-time who shows up in different avatars and claims to be the “fourth largest arms dealer in the world”, possibly establishing himself as the movie’s main antagonist.
Jawan is directed by Atlee Kumar, who is popular for his work in South Indian films, and this also marks his Bollywood debut. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Ridhi Dogra and Sunil Grover, and a special Deepika Padukone appearance.
