Disney Plus has announced that it will add over 20 new movies and TV shows from Japan and Korea for subscribers in the Middle East. The slate of content will debut exclusively on the platform and will be a mix of originals and third-party content from exciting filmmakers.

From Korea, Disney Plus subscribers can watch various content ranging from action, thrillers, docu-series, etc. The list includes Moving, which follows a group of super-powered individuals on the run from the government; The Worst of Evil, a drug-crime thriller that sees an officer attempting to bring down Seoul’s rising drug cartel; Vigilante, a Batman-esque story of a martial arts master and police academy student who target crime-doers after suffering a tragic loss in the past.

Soundtrack #2, a sequel to 2022’s popular series about unrequited love; BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, a Disney+ original docu-series that chart the incredible journey of pop icons BTS; and Han River Police, a new fictional comedy series that follows the crazy antics of Han River Police Force as they respond to emergencies like terrorist incidents, accidents and more.

For its Japanese content slate, subscribers can expect a slew of top-notch anime series and action series, including Dragons of Wonderhatch, a hybrid story set in both the ‘real world’ and an anime land which follows the story of Nagi, a high school student, and Thaim and Aktha, two dragon riders from the world of Upananta.
Also releasing is A Town Without Seasons, a live-action story of Hansuke, who is recruited to spy on remaining residents after the Nani disaster hit Japan twelve years ago; Tokyo Revengers, a new anime series from publishing house Kodansha, which follows the Tenjiku Arc depicting the “Kanto Incident” and the last war between the Tokyo Manji Gang; PHOENIX: EDEN17, another new series based on the legendary manga ‘PHOENIX’; and other shows like NCT 127: The Lost Boys docu-series, anime SYNDUALITY Noir, and an all-new ice show performance from Japanese ice-skater Yuzuru Hanyu.
The content feed will begin this and expand to 2024 and beyond with even more shows like Korea’s A Shop for Fillers, Red Swan, Japan’s House of the Owl, and Murai Love, along with many other titles that will be announced soon.
