The film centres on Loretta McLaughlin, the first reporter to write a story about the murders. Joined by fellow reporter Jean Cole, they conclude that a serial killer is behind previous murders in the state after finding out that the recent victims all have stockings tied around their necks and appear to be strangled.
While they all plan to write a story about it, they face hurdles, especially from the Boston law enforcement, who doesn’t want the story to come out. They also face obstacles from Loretta’s boss, who wants to kill the story to protect the paper where she works. Starring Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon.
