Five Blind Dates

Under pressure from her family, Lia agrees to be set up with five different suitors. With her best friend Mason by her side, will Lia find herself (and love), or risk disappointing those she loves the most and losing the business she has put her whole life into?

The movie is directed by Shawn Seet and stars Shuang Hu, Yoson An, and Jon Prasida. It will stream on Prime Video on February 13, 2024.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 1

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is an upcoming American spy comedy series created by Francesca Sloane and Donald Glover based on the 2005 film of the same name. It is set to premiere on February 2, 2024, on Prime Video. It stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, plus some guest stars like Paul Dano, Alexander Skarsgård, Wagner Moura and Ron Perlman.

Two wannabe spies, who are complete strangers, land jobs with a mysterious entity they nickname “Hihi” that offers them a life of espionage, wealth, and travel. The catch: new identities in an arranged marriage with a spectacular Manhattan townhouse.

Expats Season 1

Drama | Rating: 18+

Expats is a gripping and suspenseful series, offering a glimpse into the dark side of paradise and the complex dynamics of life in a foreign land. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with intricate plots and morally ambiguous characters, then this series is worth checking out.

Set against the complex tapestry of Hong Kong residents, this series depicts a multifaceted group of women after a single encounter sets off a chain of life-altering events that leaves everyone navigating the intricate balance between blame and accountability. 

Lulu Wang creates the series and stars Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue and Ji-young Yoo, and you can watch it on Prime Video January 26, 2024.

Hazbin Hotel Season 1

Animation, Comedy | Rating: 18+

In an attempt to find a non-violent alternative for reducing Hell’s overpopulation, the daughter of Lucifer opens a rehabilitation hotel that offers a group of misfit demons a chance at redemption. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner, Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the “Radio Demon” reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavours, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.

The series stars Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz and Blake Roman, and you can watch it on Prime Video on January 19, 2024.

Reacher Season 2

The show follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. 

The cops immediately arrest him and eyewitnesses claim to place Reacher at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with. 

Reacher stars Alan Ritchson, Maria Sten and Malcolm Goodwin, and streams on Prime Video December 15, 2023.

Twin Love

Reality TV, Romance | Rating: Not Yet Rated

If you are a fan of reality shows with romance, then you’ll like Twin Love. This show follows ten sets of twins that will be divided into two houses with identical casts, where they will start an intriguing and gripping search for love. The series will discover if their inherent similarities extend to their romantic desires.

The series is hosted by TV personalities Brie and Nikki Garcia, and you can watch it on Prime Video starting November 17, 2023.

007: Road To A Million

Game Show | Rating: PG

Nine pairs of everyday people are unleashed on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges, for a shot at winning a life-changing £1,000,000 prize. There’s one catch though! The only thing standing in their way is…the villainous Brian Cox.

You can watch this new game show that consists of 8 episodes on Prime Video starting November 10, 2023.

Invincible Season 2

Animation, Action | Rating: 18+

Seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson is just like every guy his age, except that his father is Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. As Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems. This season is expected to pick up where the first season left off, with Mark Grayson struggling to balance his life as a superhero with his personal relationships.

Comedy | Rating: 18+

The sci-fi comedy series from Amazon Prime Video is entering its third season and starts streaming on October 20, 2023. 

The new season will see Nathan struggling to come to terms with his death while also figuring out his relationship with his girlfriend, Nora. In the meantime, Nora is trying to find a way to bring Nathan back to the real world and explore the truth about Horizen, the company that owns Lakeview. 

Gen V Season 1

Action, Adventure | Rating: 18+

A spin-off series based on Amazon Prime Video’s incredibly popular The Boys, Gen V follows the first generation of superheroes that know their powers come from Compound V. This drug gives superpowers to whoever injects them in their body.

These heroes are enrolled in Godolkin University, a ‘prestigious’ college run by Vought International. The students are tested to their physical and moral boundaries as they compete for the top ranking in their school.

Created by Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg and Craig Rosenberg, the series stars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, and more and is also expected to feature guest appearances from Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne, reprising their roles from The Boys.

Wilderness Season 1

Drama, Thriller | Rating: PG14

There is no “happily ever after” and Amazon Prime Video’s new show, Wilderness, is here to prove it.

The series follows Liv and Will, who seem to have a stable marriage, a glamorous life, and youth to enjoy their wealth and success. But it all comes crashing down when Liv learns about Will’s little affair. Liv is heartbroken but also furious, and when Will proposes a trip around America’s National Parks to mend his ways, Liv knows exactly what she has to do to exact revenge.

Marnie Dickens created Wilderness and stars Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen in lead roles. 

The Wheel of Time Season 2

Action, Adventure | Rating: 14

Amazon Prime Video’s immensely popular The Wheel of Time continues with its second season this year and picks up right after the first season’s events. Moiraine and the Aes Sedai are leading Rand al’Thor, Perrin Aybara, and Egwene al’Vere on a journey to the White Tower in Tar Valon, where they must face new threads from the Dark One’s forces, including a new foe – a mysterious Warder Logain Ablar.

The show will also explore the internal struggles of some of the characters. Rand has yet to come to terms with his identity as the Dragon Reborn and is haunted by the visions of the Dark One. He is unsure whether he can be the hero everyone believes him to be. Egwene and Nynaever also face their demons – Egwene is eager to learn more about One Power and wants to prove herself to Aes Sedai. Nynaeve, on the other hand, is struggling to control her power and is afraid of what it might do to her.

The new season will also introduce new characters, including Elayne Trakand, the princess of Andor; Avienda, a Wise One of the Aiel; and Min Farshaw, a fortune-teller who sees visions of the future.

Harlan Coben’s Shelter

Crime, Mystery | Rating: 14+

Based on a Harlan Coben novel of the same name, Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation follows the story of Mickey Bolitar, a 15-year-old boy who is trying re-arrange his life back together after his father’s untimely death, his mother’s drug addiction, and living in a new home with his estranged uncle. However, when Mickey’s girlfriend, Ashley Kent, disappears without a trace, he seeks help from his new friends, Ema and Spoon, to find her. 

As Mickey digs deeper, he uncovers dark secrets about his family and town and how Ashley’s disappearance may be connected to a decades-long conspiracy. Mickey must now race against time to find Ashley and stop the people trying to kill him. 

Harlan Coben’s Shelter stars Jadenb Michael, Constance Zimmer and Abby Corrigan.
