The Barbie movie was originally set to be released in the UAE on the same day as its international release, July 21st. However, the movie got delayed in the UAE to August 31st, and fans were concerned that the movie might never be released in the region.


Now, according to a story posted on TimeOut Dubai, the UAE Media Council has reportedly approved the screening of Barbie in cinemas across the UAE. It will be released on the delayed date, August 31st, 2023.

Update: Vox Cinemas is now listing the movie release date as August 10, two weeks after the global launch. The headline of this post is updated to reflect that.
