Set in the present world, everything changed one day when all teenage girls suddenly gained a supernatural ability to release electrical bolts from their fingertips. No explanation is given for how these powers came to be: some say they’re built inside, some say genetics, and some say it’s inherited. The worse part is that these powers can’t be taken away or cured, which gives these girls the thrill of gaining true power, and they often use it for personal gain.
As others try to find out to control these powers, concerns arise that these girls could be powerful enough to hurt and even kill others. But that is not the worse part. This “Power” is soon revealed also to be present in older women, which could spark chaos in the world.
This British sci-fi series is based on the award-winning novel and stars Toni Collette, John Leguizamo, and Toheeb Jimoh. It was created by Raelle Tucker, Naomi Alderman, and Sarah Quintrell.
