If you’re in the UAE, you may know that WhatsApp has several restrictions, especially regarding voice and video calls. The good news with all these new updates is they allow you to make the most of the app even with these limitations.
Send Video Messages on WhatsApp

Since you can’t make calls on WhatsApp in the UAE (Audio or Video), this brand-new feature is a game-changer. You can now send short video messages of up to 60 seconds to your friends and family.
If you want to use this feature, tap the camera icon next to the text box and start recording your video message.
You can now Edit your Message
WhatsApp now gives users the ability to edit messages after you send them. You now have better control over your conversations since you can correct typos, rephrase sentences, or add more information.
To use this feature, tap and hold on to the message you want to edit and choose “Edit” from the menu.
Lock your Chats for Privacy

This feature adds safeguards to your private messages. This way, no one can read your most personal messages unless you unlock them using your phone’s passcode, Face ID, or fingerprint.
To use this, you only need to swipe left on the chat you want to lock, then tap the “Lock” option from the menu.
Use one Account on Multiple Devices
WhatsApp now allows you to use a single account across multiple devices. You can link your account to up to five devices, allowing you to send messages no matter what you’re using. Each device will be independent of each other, as this ensures that your messages, media, and calls are encrypted.
If you want to use this feature, simply tap on “Linked Devices” from the settings menu and scan the QR code on the phone you want to use.
With these brand-new features, WhatsApp will be more interactive and secure for all of its 8 million users in the UAE.
