One UI 6 release date
Samsung has not yet announced an official release date for One UI 6. However, we should expect the official version to roll out some time at the end of this year.
The beta program is usually a good indicator of how close the stable update is, and Samsung has already released two beta builds for the Galaxy S23 series in some regions.

One UI 6 new features
One UI 6 is based on Android 14, which means it inherits some of the new features and changes from Google’s latest OS.
One UI 6 also adds some Samsung-specific features and enhancements, such as:

One UI 6 compatibility
The One UI 6 update will eventually arrive on every Galaxy S handset from the S21 onward, including all Plus and Ultra variants. You’ll also be able to get it on the Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 or higher. It’s also available for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy Tab S8 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
How to join the One UI 6 beta program
If you want to join the beta program with your Galaxy S23 device, you’ll be able to join the program by following these steps:
- Download the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store.
- Log in to the app with your Samsung Account.
- Select the “Registration for One UI Beta Program” in the home banner or notices page.
- Select “Settings > Software update > Download and install” on your device to get the beta update.
Remember that beta software may have bugs or issues affecting your device’s performance or functionality. If you encounter any problem with the Beta, you can always report it using the Samsung Members app.
You can also opt out of the beta program at any time by going to “Settings > Accounts and backup > Backup and restore” and restoring your device to the latest official software version.
