Samsung has announced that it will be hosting its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, Jan 17 2024. The company usually announces its refreshed Galaxy S series in February, so it seems Samsung is quite eager to hold the Galaxy S24 Series launch earlier than usual.

How can you watch the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Launch event in UAE and Saudi Arabia?

Samsung will be hosting its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, Jan 17 2024, at 9PM UAE/ 8PM Saudi Arabia. The event will also be live-streamed on Samsung’s YouTube channel.

Samsung has dropped a teaser trailer on its YouTube channel, stating, “Galaxy AI is coming“. The video takes us through the company’s decades of innovation in the mobile space and invites viewers to “get ready for a new era of mobile.”

It’s not surprising that Samsung is busy preparing for an on-device artificial intelligence, considering how technology has shaped up in the last year or so. As for what the AI will be capable of, it remains to be seen.

What to Expect from the Galaxy S24 Series Launch Event

Model-wise, you can expect the usual suspects: the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and the S24 Ultra, with the latter supposedly featuring a titanium frame. If it will be different or better than the one found on the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max will be quite interesting to note.

Some reports suggest that the S24 Plus and Ultra will be able to take advantage of AI to move or remove items in pictures and fill in empty spaces using Generative Edit, much akin to the Google Pixel 8. Another rumoured feature is that the Samsung Phone App will add a live translation feature so two people can speak to each other in different languages easily.

The devices are also rumoured to carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The latest-generation processor is poised to be extremely powerful, but more importantly, it can perform on-device AI calculations, which is possibly what Samsung will harness for the new mobile devices.

Other reports suggest that the S24 Plus and Ultra will be available with 12GB of RAM, while the base S24 version will still carry only 8GB of RAM like the S23 Model. Ice Universe also reports that the S24 Ultra will be able to record videos at 4K/120fps but mentions that the feature may not be available at launch.

All of these are rumours for now, so take it with a pinch of salt, if you may. All will be revealed when Samsung jump on stage at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, to reveal the new devices and features.
