Update: Apple has now officially sent out invites for its next lunch event, and it’s scheduled for September 12.
Apple is reportedly gearing up for one of its major events for 2023, the iPhone 15 launch.
It’s been almost a year since the company announced its iPhone 14 line, and now we’re hearing a lot of rumours about the iPhone 15. The only thing we’re not yet 100% sure about is the event’s date.
According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to announce its new phones in mid to late September. Several sources say mobile carriers have asked their employees not to take days off on September 13 for a major smartphone announcement.
Now, this doesn’t mean that it will be an Apple launch, but it’s a known fact that they launch their latest iPhones in September.
This suggests that Apple and carriers are preparing for a massive demand for the latest iPhones, which are expected to come with major features and hardware updates.
How to watch Apple’s iPhone 15 event
The launch event will take place at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, which translates to 9:00 PM Dubai time. As done in the past, we expect Apple to live-stream the iPhone 15 event on its website and YouTube channel. You should also be able to watch the event if you have an Apple TV device.
iPhone 15: What to expect
Like the iPhone 14, we expect at least four models: a 6.1-inch iPhone 15, a 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, a 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max.
According to 9to5Mac, all four models will feature a Dynamic Island instead of a notch, USB-C ports instead of Lightning, and larger batteries with faster charging capabilities.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to carry exclusive features such as the new A17 Bionic chip. These models will also get the periscope-style telephoto lens that offers up to 6x optical zoom.
The stainless steel frames will also be replaced with a new one made from titanium, all thanks to the LIPO display technology.
Other Products to Expect at iPhone 15 launch event
Along with the iPhone 15, Apple may also announce other products at the event. One that we’re taking a keen look at is the Apple Watch Series 9, which may come with new health sensors and a faster processor.
We’ve also heard that a new iPad Mini is just around the corner with an 8.4-inch display and an A15 Bionic chip.
Apple has not officially confirmed or denied the date or agenda of their September event. Invitations are likely to come out in early September.
Until then, we’ll keep you updated as the announcement date grows near. Are you excited to get your hands on these new Apple products? Which device are you most likely to snag when they announce it?
