The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is back in full force this year after a hybrid format in 2023 due to the pandemic. Hello CES 2024!

The world’s largest and most influential tech event will take place from Jan. 9 to 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where more than 130,000 attendees, 1,200 startups, and 4,000 exhibitors will showcase the latest innovations in digital health, food tech, automotive tech, gaming, smart home, and more.

What we loved at CES 2024

CES 2024 promises to be a dazzling display of cutting-edge technology, with some of the highlights including:

  • AI laptops from various brands are powered by the new Intel Core Ultra processors that feature a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for faster and more efficient AI and machine learning tasks.
  • Nvidia’s new RTX 4000 Super graphics card line is more affordable and powerful than the cards they replace.
  • LG’s transparent OLED TV essentially disappears when not in use. Surprisingly, it’s not even a prototype and will be available sometime this year.
  • Samsung’s Ballie is a cute and smart home robot that can follow you around, play with your pets, project movies and video calls, and act as a second PC monitor. Ballie also has a lidar sensor to avoid obstacles and a 1080p projector with two lenses.
  • Sony’s Afeela is a futuristic car to watch out for. After partnering with Honda, the two giants made this car a “creativity space” for gamers and creators. It has a holographic dashboard, and you use a PlayStation 5 controller to control it.
  • Pivotal’s Helix is a lightweight electric aircraft that does not require a pilot’s license to fly. The Helix can be stored in a 16-foot road trailer, take off, and land vertically in any open space. The Helix can easily reach up to 100 mph and has a range of 60 miles on a single charge.
  • Sound Drive is a startup backed by, mixes music as you drive based on your mood, speed, and destination. The startup uses AI to analyze your driving patterns and preferences and creates custom playlists that sync with your car’s speakers and lights.
