Superhuman is acquiring AI meeting-notetaker Fathom and plans to connect its meeting records to email, documents, databases and AI agents.
Fathom will be folded into Superhuman’s wider productivity suite, according to an announcement carried by Business Wire. The company says Fathom will add meeting context to Superhuman Go, its proactive AI assistant, and to agents that work across the suite.
Superhuman Fathom acquisition links meetings to follow-up work
Fathom records meetings, makes them searchable and surfaces decisions and action items. Superhuman’s own connector page says users can ask about past calls, retrieve meeting details by date, person or topic, and use that information in drafts without leaving the inbox.
TechCrunch reported that Fathom was founded in 2020, had raised more than $30 million and was valued at $94 million in 2024, citing PitchBook. The outlet also reported more than 400,000 monthly active users and over 1 million people who had recorded meetings with the service.
Superhuman CEO Shishir Mehrotra told TechCrunch the company had tested a notetaker internally before deciding to acquire Fathom. He said the work showed how difficult it is to build a strong product for recording and processing meetings.

Fathom gives Superhuman Go more context
The acquisition fits Superhuman’s move beyond email. The Superhuman Fathom acquisition gives the company another source of context for its email, calendar, collaborative documents, databases and AI assistance, while Superhuman Go can connect to more than 1 million applications and websites, according to the company’s announcement.
Fathom’s meeting data gives those tools another source of information: what people discussed, decided and agreed to do. That could let an agent draft a follow-up email, update a record or prepare a future meeting with less manual copying between apps. The company has not announced an acquisition price or a detailed integration timetable.
TechCrunch also reported that Fathom CEO Richard White viewed Superhuman’s distribution as a reason to join the platform. Fathom can continue as a standalone product, but its features will now sit closer to the rest of Superhuman’s workflow.
