Apple TV has revealed the first look at Stick season 2, and Owen Wilson’s golf comedy is adding an Emmy-nominated name to the bag. Rhea Seehorn joins the cast as Amanda, a new coach, when the season premieres on Wednesday, 4 November with two episodes, followed by one weekly until 30 December.

Created by Jason Keller and starring Wilson, Stick follows Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill ex-pro golfer whose career derailed 20 years ago. In season one, Pryce bet everything on a troubled 17-year-old phenom named Santi (Peter Dager). Season two picks up as Santi chases professional golf — and discovers how quickly the game changes when talent becomes expectation — while Pryce, urged on by his former rival Clark Ross (Timothy Olyphant), attempts an improbable comeback as the oldest golfer ever to win a major.
With Seehorn’s Amanda and trusted caddie Mitts (Marc Maron) in his corner, Pryce sets out to prove to the golf world — and to himself — that he really was as good as everyone always said he was. The new season also welcomes John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander and Missi Pyle, with return guest appearances from broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, “Good Good’s” Matt Scharff and golf enthusiast Dan Rapaport.
Returning alongside Wilson are Dager, Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Olyphant. The series hails from Apple Studios, with Keller showrunning and executive producing alongside Wilson, Ben Silverman for Propagate Content, Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady, Christopher Moynihan, Rodney Ferrell, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg and Bill Callahan.
Stick is one of the quieter wins in Apple’s comedy slate — a feel-good found-family show set in a world television rarely treats seriously, as Esquire notes. The cast addition suggests Apple sees it as more than a niche swing: Seehorn arrives fresh from her acclaimed turn in Pluribus, another Apple series, which we reviewed when it landed.
Apple TV is available in the UAE for AED 27.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers — here’s what else is new on the service this week.
