SSS-Class Revival Hunter anime arrives on Crunchyroll in January 2027

SSS-Class Revival Hunter will become a TV anime in January 2027, with Crunchyroll streaming the series in the UAE and other Middle East markets.

SSS-Class Revival Hunter anime: January 2027 release

The adaptation was announced alongside a teaser trailer and visual. Crunchyroll says it will stream the series across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, the Indian subcontinent, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.

The series follows Kim Gongja, an F-rank Hunter living in the shadow of the Flame Emperor, the top-ranked Hunter in a tower filled with monsters. He gains an S-rank skill that activates only when he dies, which gives the title a fairly literal relationship with its name.

The original Korean webcomic debuted in December 2020 and had reached 151 episodes when Crunchyroll reported the anime announcement. An English version is available through Tapas.

Cast and staff for the anime

Takeo Otsuka will voice Kim Gongja, while Satoshi Hino will play the Sword Emperor. Hiroaki Sakurai is directing at STUDIO fu, with Sayuri Oba writing the scripts and Takahiro Yoshimatsu handling character designs, according to Crunchyroll News.

The announcement gives the anime a January 2027 window but no exact premiere date. Crunchyroll has not announced episode count or a UAE release time.

The story is based on a Korean webcomic and web novel, while the adaptation is being produced in Japan. The cast and staff details released so far cover the two central characters and the main production roles.
