An employee at a Cineplex in Prince George, British Columbia has hand-drawn their cinema’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day poster, after the official one never arrived.
Brand New Day is the highest-grossing domestic release since Avengers: Endgame, and cinemas have been pulling out all the stops to promote it. Famous Players 6 in Prince George wasn’t so lucky: its allocation never turned up.

A hand-drawn Spider-Man: Brand New Day poster goes viral
Rather than leave the frame empty, one employee drew their own — a faithful rendition of the ‘Spoderman’ meme, the crude sketch of the wall-crawler that began life in the Dolan comics of the early 2010s. A handwritten note sits beneath it:
“Sorry! We never received the real posters! Sorry for any inconveniences!”
The photo did the rounds on Reddit, where commenters were quick to praise the effort. “My respect to the one who decided to draw it by hand instead of using AI,” one wrote, while another suggested Marvel adopt the drawing as an official poster, or at least as a Blu-ray alternate cover.
Canadian radio station 101.3 The River shared the poster on Facebook, where a user claiming to be the mother of another employee named the artist: Drake. No, not the rapper.
“My daughter said it’s been a huge hit. People are even stopping and getting pictures with it!”
Brand New Day is still in UAE cinemas after a record run at the local box office.
