Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 prototype leak shows Geekbench results

A Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 engineering prototype has appeared in a Bilibili video ahead of Snapdragon Summit, showing a reported 2+3+3 CPU layout, clocks up to 5.10GHz and Geekbench 6 scores of 4,327 single-core and 12,873 multi-core. Qualcomm has not confirmed these details, so the sample is best treated as an early look rather than a final phone result.

The video was published by Bilibili user Nonx_Official and reported by Wccftech. The original Bilibili video shows the diagnostic screen and the prototype board.

The diagnostic screen reportedly shows two cores reaching 5.10GHz, three running at up to 4.00GHz and three at 3.74GHz. That gives the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 a different cluster arrangement from Qualcomm’s recent flagship designs, although the software labels the cores as unknown because this is unreleased hardware.

The chip is also shown with an Adreno 850 GPU. The packaging appears to include a Heat Pass Block, described by Wccftech as a heatsink intended to move heat away from the SoC more quickly. DRAM remains on top of the package in this sample, while Apple’s A20 Pro uses side-mounted DRAM.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Geekbench 6 results are still prototype data

The sample trails the A20 Pro in single-core testing but narrowly leads it in multi-core testing. Wccftech notes that engineering samples can run with higher power limits than retail phones, meaning commercial devices may score lower. The screen also carries a custom model label, so the numbers should not be treated as an independent laboratory result.

This follows tbreak’s earlier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro die leak and report that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 hits 5GHz. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit begins tomorrow, when the company is expected to provide the first official details.
