Bloober Team’s remake of the original Silent Hill is reportedly aiming for a 2027 release. According to a report from MP1st, as covered by VGC, two actors, Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew, are already attached to the project. Neither Konami nor Bloober Team has confirmed the release window or casting details, so for now this is a report rather than an announcement.

What the report says

MP1st says the game currently has the codename Project Noise and is aiming for a 2027 release, assuming no delays or changes to Konami’s production schedule. Bloody Disgusting’s write-up of the report describes Project Noise as the casting codename, with the game itself developed as “Project G”. The caveat on the schedule matters, because the remake hasn’t had a release window from Konami at any point. The publisher announced it last year but has shown nothing beyond a short teaser, with no gameplay footage or official window.

The cast detail is thinner than the date. Fritz is a UK-based, English-German actor whose TV credits include FBI International and Kate’s Chocolates, and her CV cites motion-capture experience and theatrical gun handling. She has also done game voice work in Battlefield 2042, Eve: Valkyrie, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and The Tomorrow Children. Matthew, also UK-based, has appeared in Doctors, EastEnders and Torchwood: The Story Continues.

Neither actor has a reported role. It isn’t known which characters they’ll play, or whether Konami has cast anyone as lead protagonist Harry Mason. Some outlets have guessed from the original’s small female cast. Beebom suggests Fritz could play antagonist Dahlia Gillespie, and Matthew nurse Lisa Garland or police officer Cybil Bennett. That’s speculation, not part of the report. Studios do try to keep cast lists quiet, as when GTA 6 actors were reportedly told to stay silent until launch, so the Silent Hill names may be the first of several to surface before Konami says anything.

Why 2027 fits Konami’s plans

The date lines up with a stated strategy. In an interview with Famitsu, series producer Motoi Okamoto said Konami’s aim is to release a new Silent Hill title every year. VGC notes the publisher has kept to that since the series returned: the streaming show Silent Hill: Ascension in 2023, then the free Silent Hill: The Short Message and Bloober’s Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024. Silent Hill f followed last year, and Screen Burn’s Silent Hill Townfall launched last month.

With no other Silent Hill game confirmed for 2027, the Bloober remake is the obvious candidate to keep the run going. It also has a strong track record behind it. Konami said the Silent Hill 2 remake had sold 5 million copies worldwide by January 2026, and VGC’s review of that game called it a skilful retelling of a survival horror classic. Konami confirmed the original-game remake in June 2025, saying in a statement that it was working with Bloober Team on a remake of the 1999 PlayStation game. Beyond that, platforms, pricing and regional availability, including for the Middle East, haven’t been announced.

Has Konami confirmed the Silent Hill remake will release in 2027?

No. Konami’s only confirmation is that it’s working with Bloober Team on a remake of the original game. The 2027 target and the cast names come from MP1st’s report.

Who is playing Harry Mason in the remake?

That’s unknown. VGC says it isn’t clear whether Konami has cast the lead at all, and the report names only Fritz and Matthew.

Which game is Bloober Team remaking this time?

The original Silent Hill, which launched on PlayStation in 1999. It’s a separate project from the studio’s Silent Hill 2 remake, which came out in 2024.
