Samsung smart glasses FCC filings identify two model families, SM-O200J and SM-O200P, bringing Samsung’s Gentle Monster and Warby Parker eyewear closer to launch. The filings list several additional model numbers but do not explain how they differ. Android Authority reports that Samsung expects to launch the glasses later this year.

Samsung smart glasses FCC filings list two design families
The FCC documents were first spotted by Droid Life. Its reading links SM-O200J to Gentle Monster and SM-O200P to Warby Parker; however, Samsung does not state the exact partner mapping in its public product announcement.
| Model family | Additional model numbers reported |
|---|---|
| SM-O200J | SM-O201J, SM-O202J, SM-O203J, SM-O204J, SM-O205J |
| SM-O200P | SM-O201P, SM-O202P, SM-O203P, SM-O204P |
The paperwork lists multiple model numbers for each design, but this does not indicate whether the differences are in frame colours, sizes, lenses, or regional versions. FCC label exhibits also show a 5V, 1A input rating; they do not provide a full consumer specification sheet.
Samsung has already previewed the glasses
Samsung introduced its intelligent eyewear with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker at Galaxy Unpacked in July. The company says the glasses include a built-in camera and use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform.
Samsung lists a battery life of up to 9 hours on a single charge, with the case providing up to 7 additional full charges.
The designs first appeared in May, when Samsung and Google showed two eyewear styles developed with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
The FCC paperwork does not establish whether these partner-designed models are related to the separate Samsung colour-display glasses project. Samsung’s public description of the current designs centres on voice-led AI assistance, translation and camera-based features; it has not announced a colour display for these FCC models.
The camera puts Samsung in the same broad smart-glasses category as Meta’s Ray-Ban range, but Samsung has not announced a price or market availability for a direct buying comparison. Meta recently changed its glasses so recording stops when the capture light is covered, as tbreak reported.
The Samsung smart glasses FCC documents do not give a sale date or price. Samsung has not confirmed which markets will get the eyewear, so UAE availability and pricing remain unannounced. An FCC appearance is a certification step, not a launch notice.
Does Samsung say whether the camera records video?
Samsung confirms a built-in camera and mentions capturing photos, but its public materials do not specify video recording, resolution, or clip limits. Camera presence alone does not confirm those capabilities.
Can buyers compare these with Meta’s Ray-Bans yet?
Only broadly. Samsung has shared camera, AI and battery details, but not the retail price, launch markets or full specifications. The FCC codes also do not identify the frame differences, so a value comparison will have to wait for the launch details.
