Sony has announced three PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for August, giving subscribers a mix of open-world action, co-operative exploration, and survival horror.
What are the PlayStation Plus games for August?
The August PlayStation Plus line-up comprises Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis. The selection and claim dates were confirmed by PlayStation and detailed in VGC’s report on the August Essential line-up.
| Game | Included platform | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition | PS5 and PS4 | Techland’s base game packaged with previously released updates and additional content. |
| Big Walk | PS5 | A co-operative multiplayer adventure designed around talking to teammates. |
| Signalis | PS4 | A survival horror game about searching for a lost partner and lost dreams. |
When and how should subscribers claim the games?
Subscribers can claim all three August games from 4 August until 31 August 2026. Eligible members should add each title to their library during that period, even if they do not plan to download or play it immediately.
The August selection overlaps briefly with July’s PlayStation Plus Essential games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and CrossCode remain claimable until 7 August 2026, leaving a 4–7 August window in which subscribers can add both selections.
Once an August game has been claimed, it remains in the account’s library. It can be downloaded and played while the account maintains an active Essential, Extra, or Premium subscription. If the subscription lapses, access stops and returns when an eligible subscription is reactivated.
Why is Signalis notable for PS4 subscribers?
Signalis shows that PS4 games remain part of the Monthly Games programme despite Sony shifting the service’s emphasis towards PS5. Sony previously said PS4 games would “no longer be a key benefit” from January 2026, wording that indicated reduced priority rather than a complete end to PS4 additions.
August includes two games accessible on PS4: Signalis and the PS4 edition of Dying Light 2. Big Walk is the only PS5-exclusive entitlement in the selection, so PS4-only subscribers can claim two of the three games.
The line-up therefore gives existing subscribers a useful spread across both console generations. Claiming all compatible titles before 31 August keeps them attached to the account under the standard PlayStation Plus subscription rules.
