OMODA & JAECOO has launched the OMODA O5 HEV in the UAE, with a claimed range of up to 1,000km and no need for external charging.
OMODA O5 HEV UAE launch brings hybrid power
The OMODA O5 HEV was unveiled at the Galadari Motors showroom in Sharjah on 10 September. It combines a 1.5-litre TGDI hybrid engine, a 1.8kWh battery and a DHT transmission, according to the company’s launch release.
OMODA claims 44.5% thermal efficiency and a WLTC combined range of up to 1,000km. The system produces 165kW of combined power and takes the car from 0–100km/h in 7.9 seconds. Eco and Sport modes are included.
The hybrid system means drivers can use the car without installing a charger. That suits buyers who want an electrified drivetrain but do not want to plan daily life around a cable.
OMODA O5 HEV specifications and UAE availability
The O5 HEV includes six airbags, 19 driver-assistance features and TBOX remote vehicle access through a mobile app. OMODA & JAECOO says more than 5,000 customers have chosen its vehicles in the UAE so far.
The company has not announced a UAE price in the launch release. The OMODA O5 HEV is now officially available in the UAE, but trim details and dealer pricing should be confirmed with OMODA & JAECOO before placing an order.
The company says its brands had entered 77 markets by July 2026, with more than one million cumulative vehicle sales and 1,596 dealerships worldwide. Those figures cover OMODA & JAECOO rather than the O5 HEV alone.
The OMODA & JAECOO UAE website should carry local dealer and model information as the launch rolls out. The brand has also announced the upcoming OMODA 4, while the O5 HEV gives its UAE range a hybrid option that does not depend on public or home charging.
