McDonald’s just opened in Al Seef with weekend DJ sets

Dubai’s heritage district Al Seef now has a McDonald’s with weekend DJ nights. The Creekside location blends traditional Emirati architecture outside with digital screens inside, hosting live music every Friday and Saturday from 8pm-11pm.

McDonald’s UAE has opened a new restaurant in Dubai’s Al Seef district, bringing live DJ nights to the heritage waterfront. According to McDonald’s UAE announcement, the location features DJ sets every Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 11pm, curated by Dubai’s DJ Sultan El Halabi.

Heritage meets modern fast food

The new restaurant sits along Al Seef’s historic Creekside promenade, designed to blend with the district’s traditional Emirati architecture. From outside, it mirrors the heritage-style buildings, wind towers, and narrow lanes that define the area.

Step inside and the vibe shifts completely. The interior features immersive digital screens and contemporary design – a deliberate contrast to the traditional exterior. It’s McDonald’s meets nightclub, in the most unlikely of settings.

Weekend DJ sets turn up the energy

Every weekend from 8pm to 11pm, the restaurant transforms into something beyond typical fast food. DJ Sultan El Halabi, a Dubai-based artist, curates the live sets that turn a regular McDonald’s visit into what the company calls ‘a unique experience’.

This isn’t the first time fast food brands have experimented with new formats in the UAE, but adding DJ nights to a heritage district location is certainly bold.

McDonald’s UAE doubles down on community experiences

“We’re thrilled to be opening our new restaurant in Al Seef,” said Walid Fakih, CEO at McDonald’s UAE. “The location brings a fresh, energetic twist to the McDonald’s experience, perfectly placed in a destination that already holds its own sense of character and charm.”

The concept reflects McDonald’s UAE’s focus on creating ‘feel-good moments for the community’ – though whether Al Seef’s heritage setting needs a soundtrack from the golden arches remains to be seen.

When to visit

The McDonald’s Al Seef is now open along the historic Creekside promenade. DJ nights run every Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 11pm, with regular restaurant hours expected throughout the week.
