Lamborghini’s Revuelto SV has lapped the Hockenheimring in 1:41.6, a time the company calls the fastest ever recorded by a production car at the German circuit. It was set in a car the public has not yet seen.
Factory and test driver Marco Mapelli handled the run, announced on 6 August ahead of the SV’s world premiere at The Quail on 14 August, during Monterey Car Week, per Lamborghini’s official release. The lap is a manufacturer claim rather than an independently verified track record, and the company has published no specifications with it: power, weight and the rest of the technical picture are being held for the reveal.
Mapelli, a works driver as well as the brand’s test driver, said the SV had reached “a level of performance we had never experienced before at Lamborghini”.
The SV badge — Super Veloce — has marked Lamborghini’s sharpest cars since the 1971 Miura SV, reappearing on the Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador SVJ. The camouflaged prototype seen in the record run carries a fixed rear wing and revised front splitter, the usual SV clues of more downforce and a harder-tuned powertrain.
The Revuelto SV leads a busy Monterey week for the brand: the US debut of the Urus Performante and the global presentation of the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage, part of celebrations for the Miura and 55 years of the Miura SV.

The Revuelto SV in the UAE
Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the brand’s UAE importer, is already teasing a local reveal for the same day: “The eclipse is just the opening act. Meet the new SV on 14 August.”
UAE pricing and order books have not opened; the standard Revuelto starts at roughly AED 3 million locally depending on spec, and the SV will sit above that.
The reveal caps a busy 2026 for UAE performance-car news, from the Porsche Cayenne Coupé Electric to a local app that books supercars, yachts and jets in a few taps.
