Kryptonite Collider is a circular, 32-seat spinning thrill ride set inside Lex Luthor’s fictional LexCorp laboratory. It opened at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi on 26 July 2026 and combines movement with lighting, sound, and visual effects.
The story casts guests as volunteers in Lex Luthor’s Everyman Project, an experiment involving kryptonite, Superman’s famous weakness. Staff playing LexCorp employees brief riders before they board, while interactive displays assign each participant a “superpower” at the end.
Hind Galadari, General Manager of Warner Bros World Yas Island Abu Dhabi, told Khaleej Times in its on-site Kryptonite Collider report that the attraction uses an original DC storyline created for the park. Management says the concept grew from guest requests for more excitement without abandoning the family audience.
The story-driven queue and exit displays give the ride more substance than a themed sign bolted onto spinning hardware. The thing is, Warner Bros World has had eight years to consider its next permanent attraction, so a coherent experience should be the baseline rather than a victory lap.
How intense is Kryptonite Collider?
Kryptonite Collider delivers its thrills through rapid spinning, speed changes, and brief reverse movements rather than inversions or upside-down drops. Khaleej Times’ rider described the result as producing “belly tickles” instead of high-intensity fear.
That places it in a useful middle ground for the indoor park: livelier than a gentle family attraction, but designed without the hardware usually associated with an extreme roller coaster. Its circular seating system also means the sensation comes from repeated changes in motion, not towering drops or a long track layout.
In practice, the ride’s strongest idea may be its pacing. The LexCorp briefing establishes the experiment, alarms signal that it is gathering speed, and the interactive finale completes the storyline after the machinery stops. Theme-park storytelling often evaporates as soon as the restraint clicks shut; Kryptonite Collider at least attempts to carry its premise from queue to exit.
Is Superman at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi?
Yes, Superman is central to Kryptonite Collider’s story, and Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi says a Superman flying roller coaster is scheduled for 2028. Named Superman Up and Away, the future attraction is planned as the park’s next major addition.
No further technical specifications for that coaster were supplied, including its layout, speed, height, track length, or manufacturer. The 2028 schedule also rests on management comments reported by Khaleej Times rather than a separately surfaced technical announcement, so the sensible approach is to treat it as the park’s stated plan.
Kryptonite Collider is the immediate, tangible addition. Management describes it as the first new permanent attraction since Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi opened in 2018, although that claim has not been independently audited against every smaller experience introduced during the intervening years.
One permanent ride after eight years amounts to a measured expansion. Still, Kryptonite Collider gives repeat visitors a genuine new reason to enter Metropolis, while Superman Up and Away suggests the DC section is finally receiving more than routine upkeep.
