Fujifilm’s instax WIDE 400 now comes in Jet Black, a matte-finish edition of the wide-format instant camera that joins the existing Green model. It went on sale globally on 31 March, and UAE stock has landed this month.
The Jet Black is mechanically identical to the Green: same wide-format prints, built-in self-timer, three focus modes and the retractable 95mm lens. What changed is the finish — a deep matte black that Fujifilm says suits “formal occasions including weddings and parties”, per its official announcement. A matching camera case goes on sale alongside it.
The WIDE 400 launched in July 2024 and has since collected a Red Dot Design Award and an iF Design Award. A colourway is the gentlest possible refresh: the camera itself is untouched, which is presumably the point.
Price and availability in the UAE
The instax WIDE 400 Jet Black is available in the UAE now. Amazon.ae lists it at AED 849, in stock with delivery from 8 August. Film is the recurring cost — a 20-exposure instax WIDE twin pack runs about AED 86 at Virgin Megastore.
