Rockstar Games has finally confirmed how much GTA 6 will cost. The standard edition will be priced at $79.99, while the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition will cost $99.99.
Pre-orders will open at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game itself remains scheduled to launch on November 18, 2026.
UAE and Saudi Arabia pricing has not yet been announced, so it is unclear how closely the regional PS and Xbox store prices will follow the confirmed US pricing.
GTA 6 Standard and Ultimate Edition pricing
The $79.99 standard edition makes GTA 6 more expensive than the $69.99 price commonly attached to current-generation console releases, but it stops short of the heavily speculated $100 price for the base game.
Players who spend an additional $20 on the Ultimate Edition will receive a collection of premium vehicles, weapons, clothing and additional content spread throughout Jason and Lucia’s story.
Rockstar has not announced a separate collector’s edition or a version containing physical merchandise.
Rockstar only confirms a single-player experience at launch
One interesting detail in the announcement is Rockstar’s description of GTA 6 as featuring a “single-player experience” when it launches.
The company has not mentioned a new GTA Online experience as part of the November 19 release. However, the wording does not explicitly confirm that multiplayer has been delayed or will be sold separately.
For now, the status of GTA Online at launch remains unclear. Rockstar could reveal its multiplayer plans closer to release, but players should not assume that an online component will be available on day one until the company confirms it.
The free GTA+ offer included with digital pre-orders applies to the existing subscription service, allowing players to access GTA Online benefits, Grand Theft Auto V and other games in the GTA+ library.
GTA 6 pre-order bonuses and preload date
All GTA 6 pre-orders, as well as copies purchased before November 20, 2026, will include the Vintage Vice City Pack. Rockstar describes it as a collection of in-game items inspired by the period when Vice City’s neon aesthetic was at its peak.
Digital pre-orders will also include one free month of GTA+. The subscription can be redeemed immediately rather than being held until GTA 6 launches.
Players who purchase the digital edition will be able to preload GTA 6 from November 12, one week before its official release.
The physical version will contain a download code, not a disc
Rockstar has also confirmed that the boxed physical version of GTA 6 will contain a download code rather than a game disc.
Physical copies will become available from November 12, allowing buyers to redeem the code and preload the game before launch. This means the boxed release will effectively function as a digital copy packaged for retail rather than a traditional disc-based version.
GTA 6 will be sold through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and participating retailers. Rockstar has only announced PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions so far, with no PC release confirmed.
