Google’s Pixel 11 series is official, and pre-orders outside the UAE are open. The four phones — Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold — are up for order from today, with deliveries starting August 20. The Made by Google event airs tonight at 6PM ET, which is 2AM Thursday in Dubai, with Trevor Noah hosting and Stephen Curry, Alex Cooper, Shubman Gill and Ayami Nakajo among the guests.
All four run Google’s new Tensor G6 chip, built on TSMC’s 2nm process. Google’s own store copy claims up to 50 per cent more computing power than the previous generation. Leaked Geekbench results put a prototype Pro XL at 2,112 single-core and 5,196 multi-core — evolutionary numbers, but the node transition is aimed at thermals and on-device AI rather than benchmark peaks.
The Pro models pick up the most visible change: a built-in LED ring in the camera bar that lights up for Gemini activity, notifications and calls — the notification light, back from retirement. The standard Pixel 11 drops to a dual-camera setup after last year’s telephoto experiment, while the Pros keep triple cameras with upgraded sensors. A new Creator Suite adds a teleprompter, vocal enhancer, external microphone levels and social media frame guides to the camera app.
Google also unveiled the Pixel Watch 5 in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with 64GB of storage, 3GB of RAM and Gemini micro-models running on the wrist, plus the Pixel Tag — its answer to the AirTag, pairing ultra-wideband with Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding. The Tag goes on sale November 11 at $29, or $99 for a four-pack.
Pixel 11 prices: the RAMageddon bill arrives
US listings put the Pixel 11 at $899 for the 256GB base model, the Pro at $1,099, the Pro XL at $1,299 and the Pro Fold at $1,899 — roughly $100 more per model than the Pixel 10 line, as we flagged in July when the 128GB tier died. Google has confirmed prices are rising thanks to the global memory shortage, which has pushed contract RAM costs up nearly sixfold year-on-year. Official US pricing lands tonight; the leaks have been consistent enough that a surprise either way would be the story.
Will the Pixel 11 launch in the UAE?
Not confirmed. Google has not announced an official UAE release, and the country is not a supported Google Store hardware market. As with the Pixel 10, local buyers will likely go through third-party retailers — the Pixel 10 has been selling from about AED 2,489 on Amazon.ae — which means imported units, limited Google warranty support and some regional features switched off. If an official UAE launch is announced at tonight’s event, this section gets rewritten.
