It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Xbox has a lot of hopes pinned on Starfield. With its first-party struggling to deliver strong releases, Bethesda Game Studios’ new RPG and their first new IP in 25 years comes with many hopes and expectations.
But if the reviews are to be believed, Todd Howard’s latest sci-fi RPG has delivered the goods in many ways. While the lack of proper navigation, stunted space travel and poor inventory make for a bumpy ride, the engaging interstellar mystery and a rich sci-universe manages to pull the game out of a complete misfire.
