Epic Games has announced Alan Wake: Flashback, a Fortnite experience that allows players to recap the first game’s events.

The experience is hosted on an island in Fortnite and can be accessed by entering the code 3426-5561-3374. The island was a collaboration between Remedy Entertainment, Spiral House and Zen Creative.
The innovative fusion of two different gaming IPs comes only 10 days before the release of Alan Wake 2 (which Epic Games is the publisher of) and should provide a quick and interactive refresher for those who may have forgotten about the story or haven’t played the original game. However, for those wanting to experience the game in full can purchase Alan Wake Remastered, which was released for current-gen consoles back in 2021.
To continue the promotional tie-in between Fortnite and Remedy’s upcoming third-person horror, the battle royale will also get an Alan Wake skin and a new batch of Halloween-themed items available in the Fortnite shop as part of Fortnitemares 2023.
Alan Wake 2 releases on October 27, 2023, for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and will be available exclusively in digital stores (no physical release!).
