Capcom has let us know that they plan to release a major title by March 2024, but since the game has not yet been announced, we are not quite sure what it could be.
During the Q&A session of its financial results presentation (thanks, VG247), the Street Fighter and Resident Evil maker said that the unannounced title will allow it to achieve the sales goal for the year.

“In the second half of this financial year, we plan to release Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy in January in addition to a currently unannounced major title,” Capom said during the presentation (thanks to Reddit user hzy980512 for the translation). “Moreover, we plan to boost the sales figures of new titles of the first of this financial year, like Street Fighter 6, to achieve the target.”
Since Capcom hopes to boost its sales for the financial year with the new release, we are assuming that it’s either a new IP that everyone will get excited about or it’s part of a popular existing franchise that will get to their sales target.
With a little deduction, we can assume that neither Street Fighter nor Resident Evil will see a release since both franchises have had releases this year (i.e., Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 Remake) and were smash-hit successes. This leaves us with IPs like Mega Man, Dead Rising, Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter.
I don’t think a new Mega Man or a Dead Rising game will generate enough hype for Capcom to rely on to receive a significant sales boost, so that leaves us with Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter, both of which haven’t seen a release since 2021.
Or maybe Capcom could finally release Dino Crisis. Who knows? What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
