Samsung reportedly aims to unveil the Galaxy S27 series in January 2027, several weeks before the Galaxy S26. The claim comes from Korean tipster Lanzuk, who posts as yeux1122 on Naver. According to Android Authority, the tipster says the release could still slip into “February at the latest”. Samsung hasn’t announced the S27 series or a date.
For context, Notebookcheck notes that Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 on 25 February 2026, making another February launch the safer bet. SamMobile reports that Lanzuk, whom it describes as having a solid record with Samsung leaks, points to early January 2027. The lineup is expected to include the S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra.
Why the date could still move
Lanzuk claims Samsung has already finalised its component choices and is moving into schedule management, suggesting mass production could start soon. Android Authority adds that the picture is less settled for the top models. The company is reportedly weighing LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage for the Pro and Ultra, and that upgrade would add cost on top of already rising memory prices.
Those prices are already visible in Samsung’s current lineup. Android Authority reports that Samsung recently asked suppliers to cut supply by up to 30% and raised Galaxy S26 prices in Korea and the US. Pricing for the S27 range hasn’t been confirmed, and Android Authority says it remains to be seen how the component choices affect it.
Chips are the second open question. Android Authority cites a separate report that Samsung faces delays in pre-production testing of the S27 Ultra because of heating issues with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. That could push Samsung towards the Exynos 2700 for the Ultra. Qualcomm has denied the overheating claim.
Not every outlet reads the leak as good news for the schedule. 9to5Google frames it as Samsung not yet having settled a date, with the Pro and Ultra component lists the sticking point, and says the base and Plus models are essentially done if the leak is reliable. Samsung typically holds its Galaxy S launch between CES and MWC, so a late-January event would still fit its usual pattern.
If you’re weighing a purchase, the practical read is that a Galaxy S27 in early 2027 is likely, but January versus February remains open. Our earlier look at the Galaxy S26 leaks shows how much changes between the first tips and the final launch, so we’d treat this timing as provisional until Samsung sends invites.
When will the Galaxy S27 launch?
Samsung hasn’t confirmed a date. A Korean tipster says it is targeting January 2027, with February as the latest fallback, so treat the timing as a rumour.
Will the Galaxy S27 cost more than the S26?
Nothing is confirmed. Android Authority reports that memory costs are rising, and that Samsung has already raised Galaxy S26 prices in Korea and the US.
Will the Galaxy S27 be available in the UAE at launch?
Samsung hasn’t announced regional pricing or availability for the S27 series. Gulf pre-order details usually follow the global unveiling.
