Dubai Summer Surprises 2026 is spending August turning air-conditioned space into fitness floors. The Mallathon — free indoor runs at seven malls until September 15 — leads the programme, joined by a new indoor multisport festival, courts at Dubai World Trade Centre and a set of AED-priced wellness add-ons.
Free: the Dubai Mallathon, daily until September 15
The Mallathon runs every morning from 6am to 10am at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Hills Mall, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Festival City and Gate Avenue. Daily laps need no registration; race dates do — Dubai Outlet Mall on August 9, Palm Jumeirah Mall on August 23 with distances from 1km to 10km, and a New Balance x Common Grounds run at Dubai Hills Mall on August 28 with a recovery breakfast after.

Last year’s edition set a Guinness World Record for the most runners in a mall run event, with more than 40,000 participants. The official site carries the full race calendar.
Dubai Sports World: courts and a free gym at DWTC
Dubai Sports World runs at Dubai World Trade Centre until August 25, its 16th edition. More than 40 courts and pitches cover nine sports — football, basketball, cricket, badminton and tennis among them — alongside a free gym and a 1km indoor track.
Endurance Games: Dubai Summer Surprises 2026’s indoor debut
The Endurance Games, billed as the Middle East’s first indoor multisport festival, takes over Hamdan Sports Complex on August 30. Five disciplines are on offer — aquabike, aquathlon, triathlon, duathlon and EndureX, a run-burpee-bike-press-squat hybrid — with swims in the Hamdan pool, rides on skill bikes and a 400m indoor running course. All of it indoors, which is the point.

Entry runs from AED 174.83 to AED 249.38. Registration closes August 25 via Premier Online.
The priced options: padel, pools and a wellness reset
Not everything costs nothing. Samadhi Wellness is offering a Full Reset package for AED 77. Dusit Thani Dubai’s Padel & Dine deal — 90 minutes of padel plus a meal — comes to AED 360 for up to four players. And Veo Fitness has a AED 200 Social Pass covering gym access, padel, one group class, the pool and a coffee, open to non-members.
Veo has been courting the budget-fitness crowd all year — a Ramadan renewal offer in March, and last summer a free fitness month that included yoga with sharks and a 24-hour ride (the full calendar survives).
