Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Gets Its First Public Demo
The Gamescom appearance will be the first opportunity for the public to play Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the upcoming expansion for Capcom's open-world action RPG.
Dark Arisen promises new stories and encounters while expanding the wolrd and adventures introduced in Dragon's Dogma 2. Capcom says the expansion was developed around feedback received following the release of the original game, with a focus on improving gameplay, offering broader adventures and delivering better value.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will launch on October 9, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition will include both the base game and the Dark Arisen expansion, while the expansion will be sold separately for existing players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Mega Man: Dual Override Will Also Make Its Playable Debut
Mega Man: Dual Override will similarly be playable by the public for the first time at Gamescom.
Announced during The Game Awards 2025, Dual Override is the twelfth main instalment in Capcom’s classic Mega Man series. Only a limited amount of gameplay has been shown so far, making its Gamescom appearance the first substantial chance for players to experience the new action platformer.
Mega Man: Dual Override is scheduled to release in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
Onimusha and Street Fighter 6 Complete Capcom’s Lineup
Capcom will also bring Onimusha: Way of the Sword to the show ahead of its September 25, 2026 release.
The single-player action game takes place in Kyoto during the early Edo period, placing players in control of a samurai armed with the Oni Gauntlet as he battles the demonic Genma. It is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Street Fighter 6 completes the playable lineup, with Capcom planning several esports-related activities around the fighting game.
