Bose’s next QuietComfort over-ear headphones have leaked in full. HotEUDeals, working with OnLeaks, has published 54 press renders and six of Bose’s own promotional slides showing the Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen) in six colourways, ahead of an expected 13 August launch at a reported $359.
What the leak shows
The redesign keeps the QC silhouette and smooths it: cleaner oval earcups with a flatter outer plate carrying the wordmark, and a wider headband wrapped in padded synthetic leather. Bose’s slides promise “more soft, synthetic leather details”. Controls stay physical — a multifunction rocker and a separate button on the right cup, plus a power/Bluetooth switch — and each cup carries three microphones for noise cancellation.
Six colourways appear in the press kit: Black, White Smoke, Rosewood Mauve, DewDrop Mint, Eucalyptus Green and Hazelnut Taupe. Bose’s own copy describes the range as “limited-edition”, which suggests the bolder shades may not be permanent catalogue colours. The interior mesh behind the earpads is a contrasting colour — vivid blue on the black model, lime green on the lighter ones. Rival Sony is playing the same colour game with its WH-1000XM6.
TrueSpatial and lossless USB-C
The leak points to a bigger change than the cosmetics. The headphones gain TrueSpatial audio — “fuller, wider sound”, per the slides — plus lossless audio over USB-C, a port that only charged on the 2023 model. Dealabs reports refined ActiveSense noise cancellation, new listening modes (Immersion, Cinema Mode and ANC off), better call quality and a battery life unchanged at 24 hours with ANC on, or 18 with TrueSpatial engaged. The ANC slide promises “legendary QuietControl noise cancellation” — a name Bose last used on a 2016 in-ear line, so treat the branding with a pinch of salt.
Price and release date
Dealabs puts the launch at 13 August, with the announcement and preorders “as early as” 7 August. The leaked price grid: $359 in the US, €349.95 in Europe and £299.95 in the UK. Bose has confirmed nothing.
What it means if you’re shopping in the UAE
The $359 US price converts to about AED 1,318, but the UAE figure is unconfirmed — Bose typically prices the region separately. What is known: the outgoing Bose QuietComfort Wireless is already being cleared at AED 899 at Sharaf DG (down from a AED 1,349 list), while the flagship QuietComfort Ultra (Gen 2) sits at AED 1,399 on Amazon.ae. A successor leaking is usually the moment the outgoing model gets cheapest, so the 2023 pair at AED 899 is the one to watch if you don’t need the new design. The UAE audio market has had a busy year — HMD finally shipped earbuds here — and Bose’s next flagship will land in the middle of it.
