BMW Group Middle East has put the new BMW 7 Series on show in Dubai, the first luxury sedan in the range to carry Neue Klasse technology, according to Arabian Business.

The regional debut follows the model’s world premiere on 22 April 2026 in Beijing and New York, and the start of series production at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing from July 2026. Arabian Business frames the Dubai appearance as the Middle East introduction. A UAE price list and on-sale date are not in the available coverage.

What the new BMW 7 Series brings

BMW Group’s global press material calls the update the most extensive model change the company has carried out, and the first time Neue Klasse systems land in an established luxury sedan rather than a clean-sheet Neue Klasse model.

The cabin centres on BMW Panoramic iDrive with BMW Operating System X. A BMW Passenger Screen is standard for the first time. The optional BMW Theatre Screen for the rear is a 31.3-inch 8K panel for streaming, gaming and video calls.

Drive choice stays open: combustion engines with 48V mild-hybrid technology, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric i7 variants. BMW says the electric range now exceeds 720 kilometres on the WLTP cycle, helped by sixth-generation cylindrical cells. Dingolfing production notes list the BMW i7 60 xDrive at up to 727 kilometres WLTP. Factory 22-inch wheels are available for the first time, alongside the standard 20-inch set.

BMW Group’s global 7 Series press kit and Dingolfing start-of-production release set out those figures. The company also says Neue Klasse technology is due across 40 BMW Group models by the end of 2027.

Context: Neue Klasse tech on a mid-cycle flagship

The new 7 Series is a life-cycle update of the current generation, not a next-generation shell. BMW is using the flagship to prove Neue Klasse software, displays and electronics on a high-volume luxury platform already known in the Gulf.

That matters for buyers who want the new interface and range without waiting for a clean-sheet Neue Klasse sedan. It also explains the mixed powertrain map: mild-hybrid petrol and diesel paths, plug-in hybrids, and a longer-range i7 in the same silhouette.

UAE angle: Dubai debut, no AED sticker yet

Arabian Business reports the Dubai regional debut for BMW Group Middle East. Official BMW Group Middle East PressClub pages checked for this package do not yet publish a dated Dubai unveil note with local pricing.

tbreak’s earlier BMW coverage includes a Spider-Man dashboard ad story under the BMW tag. For UAE electric luxury context, see the Cadillac VISTIQ UAE price and Mercedes electric GLA UAE-bound reports. Those pieces carry local figures; this 7 Series package does not.

What next

Watch for a BMW Group Middle East or AGMC on-sale statement with AED pricing and a customer delivery window. Until that lands, treat Dubai as the regional showcase of Neue Klasse hardware already confirmed in BMW’s global materials.

No UAE price or on-sale date has been published in the sources used for this draft.
