Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal has climbed to No. 4 in the Atlantis The Royal 50 Best Hotels 2026 ranking, its highest position since entering the list, while also collecting the Best Hotel in the Middle East and Best Beach Hotel awards.
The Palm Jumeirah resort debuted at No. 44 in 2023, rose to No. 9 in 2024 and reached No. 6 in 2025. Its latest result puts it behind Rosewood Hong Kong, Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River in the global ranking, according to The World’s 50 Best Hotels.
Atlantis The Royal 50 Best Hotels 2026 ranking
The 2026 list was announced in Paris on 15 September. Atlantis The Royal is one of two Dubai hotels in the global top 15, with Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab rising to No. 15 from No. 20 in its debut year. The newer Jumeirah property opened in March 2025 beside Burj Al Arab.
The ranking is based on votes from more than 800 travel experts, who nominate hotels after personal stays. It is not calculated from occupancy, revenue or guest-review scores. Gulf News reports that Atlantis The Royal has 795 rooms and suites, including 44 penthouses, while The 50 Best listing gives it a starting rate of $460 per night.
Two Dubai hotels make the global top 15
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab’s No. 15 position gives Dubai two entries among the world’s 15 highest-ranked hotels. The National notes that the yacht-shaped property has 386 rooms, 11 restaurants, four swimming pools, an 82-berth marina and a three-storey spa.
The result adds another international accolade to Dubai’s luxury-hotel roster, but the two properties arrived at the list by different routes: Atlantis The Royal has climbed across four consecutive editions, while Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab entered the ranking after opening in 2025.
