American Horror Story 13 has a new poster, three more episode titles and a handful of plot teases ahead of its September 24 premiere on FX and Hulu.
American Horror Story 13 brings back the Rubber Man
The new poster, reported by IGN, shows a figure in the glossy black Rubber Man suit holding a large black sunflower. Evan Peters wore the costume as Tate Langdon in Murder House, while later seasons gave it to other characters. It is a suitably subtle way to announce a season built around familiar faces.
Ryan Murphy has described the 13th instalment as a “greatest hits season” in an interview with Vogue, with characters from earlier seasons returning. The first teaser includes Jessica Lange as Constance Langdon, Sarah Paulson as Cordelia Goode, Angela Bassett as Marie Laveau, Evan Peters as Kai Anderson and Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery, among others.
The new episode titles point back to AHS history
The newly listed titles cover episodes four to six: Is That All There Is?, Date Night and The Return of Devils Night. Earlier titles include 13, 1:13AM and Rauhnacht, while later entries include The Baddest Witch of Them All, Madison’s Happy Ending and Sisters in Arms.
The titles are clues rather than explanations. No full synopses were included in the available report, and FX has not revealed how the returning characters fit into the new story. The poster and teaser do confirm the season’s interest in older characters and images, including the Rubber Man and the witches associated with Coven.
