Alcatel V3 Series launches in UAE with NXTPAPER display technology

Alcatel’s new V3 smartphones target UAE’s bright sunlight problem with NXTPAPER displays that reduce glare and eye strain. Three 5G models from Dhs 410-795 aim to bridge the gap between budget phones and flagship features.

Alcatel launched its V3 Series smartphones in the UAE in February 2026, with the V3 Classic 5G starting at Dhs 410. The three-model lineup features the company’s NXTPAPER display technology, which Alcatel claims addresses specific challenges of using phones in the UAE’s intense sunlight. According to Alcatel’s announcement via AETOSWire, the series targets price-conscious consumers who want premium features without flagship prices.

What is NXTPAPER display technology

NXTPAPER is Alcatel’s “4-in-1 superior display technology” that combines anti-glare coating, low blue light emission, multiple display modes, and what the company describes as improved outdoor visibility. The technology is designed to combat eye strain during prolonged use and make screens more readable in bright conditions — particularly relevant in the UAE where intense sunlight is a daily reality.

Ansh Rathi, COO of NXTCELL (Alcatel’s operating company), said the V3 Series “was meticulously designed for the Dubai consumer.” He noted that with the average UAE resident spending over seven hours daily on their phone, the low blue light emission and multiple display modes aim to reduce eye strain and extend battery life.

Targeting the UAE smartphone market gap

Alcatel positions the V3 Series as filling a gap in the UAE’s smartphone market. “The UAE has one of the world’s highest smartphone penetration rates, yet there is a significant gap for consumers who are price-conscious but refuse to compromise on innovation,” said Atul Vivek, CEO of NXTCELL.

This positioning comes as the Middle East smartphone market continues to grow, with consumers increasingly seeking devices that offer flagship features at more accessible prices. The V3 Series sits in the mid-range premium segment, competing with devices in our best phones guide but at significantly lower prices.

Three-tier model strategy

The V3 lineup follows a classic three-tier approach. The V3 Classic 5G at Dhs 410 serves as the entry point, whilst the V3 Pro 5G at Dhs 625 sits in the middle, and the V3 Ultra 5G at Dhs 795 tops the range. All three models feature 5G connectivity and the same NXTPAPER display technology, though Alcatel hasn’t detailed the specific differences between variants beyond pricing.

The pricing puts the V3 Ultra 5G below many flagship devices, though without detailed specifications, it’s difficult to assess how the series compares to established mid-range options from Samsung, OnePlus, or Nothing in terms of processing power, camera quality, and build materials.

Partnership and retail availability

Alcatel has partnered with iMart Group & Worldwide IT for distribution across the UAE. Mr. Tameem Ahmed Siddique, the company’s Founder & CEO, highlighted Alcatel’s “100+-years of telecommunications heritage” and described the NXTPAPER technology as “a conversation-starter.”

The partnership leverages iMart Group’s “deep retail presence” across the GCC, though specific store locations and online availability details weren’t provided in the announcement.
