Dubai’s ‘A Dubai Invite’ programme has tripled its capacity after around 20,000 successful applicants signed up since the launch on 20 July — and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is urging residents to register before the remaining benefit packages are taken up. The initiative hands residents more than Dh3,000 in hotel, dining and attraction perks when family or friends they have nominated visit the emirate.
How A Dubai Invite works
Residents nominate visiting family or friends through the official Visit Dubai form, providing the visitor’s details and expected arrival month. Up to five nominations can be submitted at a time, and each resident can receive a maximum of three reward packages.
Arrivals are verified automatically through authorised government systems, with support from GDRFA – Dubai. Once the visit is confirmed, the resident receives an email with their benefits package and redemption instructions.
Visitors must be non-UAE residents arriving on a tourist or visit visa (or eligible for visa-on-arrival) between 20 July and 31 October 2026. They arrange their own flights, visas and accommodation — the programme covers perks, not travel costs.
What the perks include
The package covers hotel stays, restaurant discounts and attraction experiences at participating venues, including Aquaventure Waterpark, IMG Worlds of Adventure and the Grand Hyatt Waterpark, with dining offers at restaurants such as Asia Asia, Ula and The 305.
Hotel benefits include discounts and resort credits at W Dubai – Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi, Le Méridien Mina Seyahi, Melia Desert Palm, ME Dubai by Meliá and participating IHG properties. Offers are subject to availability and can change during the campaign; benefits are valid until 31 December 2026 unless an individual offer says otherwise.
Noor Al Geziry, AVP, Special Projects and MENA at DET, told Gulf News the response “reaffirms that our residents are our greatest advocates”.
“As a result of resident demand, we have worked with our partners to increase the programme’s capacity three times since its launch.”
Who can register and when
The programme is open to UAE citizens and residents aged 18 and above with a valid Emirates ID. Registration closes on 30 September 2026, although nominated guests can arrive in Dubai until 31 October 2026 to qualify. DET says it continues to work with partners to expand the range of benefits on offer.
The same perks that drew 20,000 applicants in under a month are finite. If your visitors’ dates are set, the nomination form is the only step left. Khaleej Times first reported the capacity increase on 14 August.
