New picture of HTC's Windows Phone surfaces online.

A picture of an HTC phone was recently leaked, and while the phone in question looks very similar to the HTC Titan, rumor has that it is a picture of HTC Radiant LTE, HTC’s upcoming Windows Phone.

The picture comes from PocketNow, who point out to a number of percieved differences between the Radiant in the picture and the HTC Titan, such as the enlarged HTC Logo, and a front facing camera with a bigger lens. Furthermore, differences on the backside of the phone include moving the dual-LED flash to the right side of the camera.

Nothing has been revealed in terms of specifications, but PocketNow speculates that it will be standard Windows Phone specs, with 512MB RAM, 1.5GHz CPU, and a similar WVGA screen to the Titant.

There were rumors in December that HTC will be releasing an LTE Windows Phone in February. Could this be the phone in Question?

HTC prepares Android counterpart to WP7 powered HTC Titan.

The HTC Sensation XL phone brings HTC Titan’s huge footprint with Android on top. If you have read about HTC Titan then specs don’t vary that much from it. It has same huge 4.7″ across screen, 480×800 pixel display, 16gb storage, 8mp camera with dual flash, 720p video capture, nearly same weight of 162 grams and the same single core 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor. The main differences: It runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with HTC Sense UI 3.5 and comes with Beats audio.

There are things that are disappointing in this XL version e.g. you would expect new models to shift to dual core processors but HTC is sticking with bigger screen than more horsepower. Moreover with such a big screen, one would expect a resolution of 1280×720 which Samsung is boosting but HTC Sensation XL sticks to Titan’s 480×800 resolution. On WP7 it is understandable since that is a limitation of the OS, but with an Android running they could have improved. On such big screen, low resolutions would just turn grainy.

Like the HTC Sensation XE, the larger Sensation XL features Beats audio integration. The standard set comes with in-ear Beats headphones while the limited edition model comes with over the ear headphones. The other attractions to this set include the aluminum body in white color and the new cloud services by HTC as found in upcoming HTC Rhyme and HTC Explorer.

HTC's 4.7 inch smartphone that runs on WM7 Mango.

If you thought Dell Streak and Samsung Galaxy Note were big then meet their counterpart from HTC: The HTC Titan. It is a powerhouse device, sporting a huge 4.7 inch display S-LCD WVGA display, powered by a 1.5 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM on board. Even though display is even bigger than HTC sensation but it actually uses a lower screen resolution: 800×480 rather than 960×540.

The handset has an 8.0 Megapixel camera as compared to 5 MP camera mostly featured in HTC handsets. This camera is equipped with 28 mm lens, a back illuminated sensor, f/2.2 aperture and Dual LED Flash; and is capable of 720p HD video recording. For those who want 3G or skype video calling then there is a 1.3 Megapixel front facing camera too.

HTC Titan connectivity features include HSDPA, HSUPA, WiFi with DLNA support, as well as Bluetooth, GPS, a Micro HDMI Port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The DLNA media streaming is first time introduced in HTC set, it was previously only available in LG Optimus 7 to stream media from phone to TV.

Internal memory storage on the handset is set to 16 GB, but there is no support for Micro SD memory cards. It include a second noise cancellation microphone, digital compass, full media player, and stereo FM radio with RDS.

It uses Windows Mobile 7: Mango update. And since Microsoft doesn’t allow much modification of their OS so expect standard features and apps as other mobiles. Price will be announced later when it launches this October.
