Users reporting issues purchasing online due to high traffic volumes.
Google’s latest phone the Nexus 4 is certainly creating plenty of buzz since it was first announced, so much so that users trying to buy the phone online this week have reported issues with completing their purchases.
The Nexus 4 had been sold out in the Google Play store for some time, but recently users received an email alert that the phone was back in stock. However within two minutes of the email going out, the phone was once again sold out. Users who were lucky enough to get the phone into their shopping cart then reported issues checking out due to the high volume of traffic on the site. Google have reported that the phone is not actually sold out, and is currently available for purchase; as of the time of writing this article, the phone was indeed listed as available in the Google Play store, but shipping was listed as “8-9 weeks”.
Available from $299, the Nexus 4 is Google’s latest flagship device, and comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a host of other software and hardware improvements.
