Five things that get tbreak’s stamp of approval.
Every day during GITEX 2012, tbreak editors pick five things that are worth checking out. Here’s what caught our eyes on the first day of GITEX.
1) Nokia Lumia 920
The highly anticipated Windows Phone 8 based device from Nokia was on display at Microsoft’s stand as well as Nokia’s own stand. Sadly nobody was allowed to touch or even turn the device on.
2) Windows 8
Also at Microsoft was an army of all kinds of laptops with different form factors showcasing the upcoming Windows 8 Operating System. Sadly, Microsoft’s own Surface was nowhere in sight. We’re still waiting for an official announcement on that.
3) Ferrari Logic 3 headphones
Go grab a tissue to wipe the drool from your keyboard.
4) Virtual Clothes
Somewhere between the foyer area of halls 3 and 4 was a stand where you can stand in front of a TV equipped by a camera and virtually try out different shirts and trousers. We had seen this tech in a Cisco demo but watching in real life was definitely awesome.
5) Ultra thin Soundbars
I have a thing for Soundbars but there is no denying that they need to get sleeker. Someone thought of that and designed these super sleek soundbars that will look pretty awesome with you new super skinny LED TV.
