Actor-turned-entrepreneur loves Windows Phone 8.
It’s a familiar sight to see celebrities in TV adverts or plugging certain brands.
Well Microsoft decided to do just that at the Windows Phone 8 launch event happening in San Francisco. Waltzing on to stage was none other than Jessica Alba, who was there to talk about “Kid’s Corner”, a sort of parental setting that a user can setup on their phone.
The Kid’s Corner feature lets a parent create a sort of second lock screen for their phone, which can be activated by swiping from the right if the phone is locked. The Kid’s Corner contains apps that a parent has specifically pinned, thus keeping naughty hands from changing phone settings or causing problems.
Alba contributed her thoughts on this feature, saying I love that I can curate the space. It’s a very clutch feature. Also I don’t need to worry about my kid going into my social-media networks, or e-mailing my partners or anything like that.”
